Job description

The UPS Store located on campus at CU Boulder is currently hiring for student staff! Join our dynamic retail team as a Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will drive sales and create memorable shopping experiences.

We operate three retail locations on The University of Colorado Boulder campus providing mail and package service for students that live on campus. In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face that assists customers in finding the perfect products, demonstrates features through engaging product demos, and ensures the sales floor is inviting and well-organized. We receive packages and mail for over 8500 students that live on campus! Apply today to be a part of our team!

Responsibilities

  • ·Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
  • Sort and deliver packages and mail from multiple carriers daily
  • Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs, offering knowledgeable product demos when appropriate
  • Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts
  • Maintain a clean store and work area ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting
  • Receive shipments and organize backroom area
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments

Skills

  • Experience with POS systems and cash register operations is preferred
  • Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
  • Strong communication skills and clear verbal interactions with customers and team members
  • Familiarity with cashiering procedures, stock management, and basic math operations essential for retail sales success
