We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Electrical Manager to join our growing Commercial Division. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee a portfolio of commercial projects while leading a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

You’ll combine strong electrical engineering expertise with proven people leadership, project oversight, and client management skills. As a key member of the Commercial team, you’ll play an important role in team development and operational leadership by mentoring staff, supporting resource planning, fostering technical excellence, and maintaining consistent design quality across projects. This position also requires active involvement in client relationship management, project financial performance, and divisional operations.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic consulting environment, enjoys building strong client and team relationships, and is passionate about delivering practical, innovative electrical design solutions for commercial buildings and the built environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Leads, manages, and mentors a team of up to 4 engineers, designers, CAD staff, and project managers to deliver projects on a timely basis.
  • Provides clear communication on team skillset, resourcing and development to Senior Manager and Associate Director.
  • Primarily responsible for managing, retaining, and developing staff members.
  • Identifies and staffs projects, either directly or through Project Managers.
  • Acts as a primary relationship manager for a select group of clients.
  • Monitors status of projects through Project Managers.
  • Engages in performance management cycle for direct reports.
  • Responsible for project billings and expenses of team with manager review and approval.
  • Responsible for financial performance of the projects that they invoice for.
  • Approves time sheets of team members.
  • Actively participates in divisional operations meeting.

  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • P.Eng with PEO.
  • 10+ years engineering consulting experience.
  • People Management an asset.
  • Related industry project experience an asset.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.
  • Good accuracy and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.

The expected salary for this role is between $100,000 to $140,000 annually. Base salaries are determined considering several factors such as skills and competencies, experience, education, and internal and external competitiveness. Along with your base salary we offer a wide array of programs that include our Short Term Incentive bonus program, technical and business training, mentoring, wellness initiatives, the opportunity to participate in our coveted Defined Benefit Pension plan, flexible work arrangement, and hybrid work structure.
