Job Schedule: 9/80 (Every other Friday off)

Job Description:

The Product Integration Group of L3Harris in Rochester, New York, is looking for an Experienced Electrical Technician. This position will perform a variety of operations including the assembly and integration of complex electromechanical space flight components. This role involves working directly with engineers on the design and development of new and existing products, to optimize design for manufacturability. Needs to be proficient in cable and harness builds, as well as soldering of components.

Essential Functions:

Perform work in manufacturing and/or prototyping environment
Read engineering drawings/blue prints/schematics and detailed work instructions
Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation
Speak clearly and concisely, presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups
Identify problems and suggest solutions
Demonstrate appropriate computer knowledge
Understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices
Perform as an individual contributor as well as within a team environment
Must be mechanically inclined with ability to work with very fragile electronic assemblies under a microscope
Willingness to work overtime, shift work, weekends, holidays and some travel
Ability to obtain US Government security clearance

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; Or, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
Must be able to be certified to all IPC, JSTD, or comparable NASA certifications

Preferred Additional Skills:

Associates Degree or above in electronics/electrical field
Experience in an Electrical/Mechanical/Optical discipline
Currently certified to IPC, JSTD, or comparable NASA certifications
Lean Manufacturing practices
Aerospace or Defense industry experience

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $45,000-$84,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
