Position Responsibilities:
Design and develop innovative software solutions to further enhance the performance, availability, and durability of Amazon Aurora. Collaborate with a team of engineers to push the boundaries of the PostgreSQL engine and storage integration. Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to best practices. Contribute to the design and implementation of new features and functionalities within Amazon Aurora. Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues related to Aurora's functionality. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in database technologies and PostgreSQL developments. Solve challenging technical problems, often ones not solved before, at every layer of the stack. Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security. Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products. Research implementations that deliver the best possible experiences for customers.
Position Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems or services using: (i.) Object Oriented Design, (ii.) distributed programming, and (iii.) C#, C++, or Python.
