At Siemens Healthineers, we are looking for an Software Developer to join our Molecular Imaging System Test Engineering team and help advance the quality, reliability, and performance of next-generation PET and SPECT imaging systems.

In this role, you will play a key part in expanding our automated testing capabilities, improving software quality, and supporting our Shift Left testing strategy. Working alongside software developers, systems engineers, and quality teams, you'll help build scalable automation solutions that accelerate releases while ensuring our products meet the highest standards of reliability and patient safety.

You are responsible for:

  • Developing, executing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts to validate system-level software functionality across PET and SPECT platforms.

  • Developing and executing automated and manual System Integration Testing (SIT) and System Testing (ST) activities to ensure software quality and system reliability.

  • Collaborating closely with software developers to enable early defect detection through Shift Left testing practices.

  • Ensuring verification and validation requirements are clear, testable, complete, and aligned with functional acceptance criteria.

  • Creating and maintaining accurate, traceable, and scalable test specifications that support comprehensive verification activities.

  • Assessing automation opportunities, prioritizing high-impact test cases, and expanding automation coverage to improve regression efficiency and execution capacity.

  • Contributing to functional test strategies, incorporating cross-functional input, and ensuring alignment between requirements, risk, and automation coverage.

  • Performing exploratory, in-sprint, regression, and formal validation testing within Agile software development environments.

  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects while verifying corrective actions through regression testing.

  • Supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated testing into the software development lifecycle.

  • Participating in feature demonstrations and providing technical support during project milestones and cross-functional activities.

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance automation frameworks, testing processes, and overall software quality.

  • Partnering with cross-functional engineering teams to improve product quality, accelerate software releases, and deliver reliable imaging solutions.

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Shell or PowerShell.

  • Experience using test automation tools and frameworks, including Azure DevOps (TFS), Selenium, Ranorex, TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, Robot Framework, Cypress, JIRA, Jenkins, and Git.

  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.

  • Understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 4+ years of experience in software development, software testing, or quality assurance.

  • Strong programming experience in C#.

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, validation practices, and quality assurance principles.

  • Experience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional Agile development team

The base pay range for this position is:

$109,920 - $151,140

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
