Job description

Description

Prime Solutions Group (PSG), Inc. is an innovative digital engineering company founded in 2007 and headquartered in Goodyear, AZ. We specialize in advanced sensing, AI/ML, and digital engineering solutions, partnering with many of the nation's leading defense companies to deliver mission-critical technology. Our work spans the full system lifecycle-from R&D to operational deployment-supporting the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and federal partners.

At PSG, you'll join a small, agile, and highly skilled team where your expertise has a direct impact. You'll collaborate with some of the largest and most respected defense organizations while shaping next-generation technology.

Position Description:

Develop Advanced AI and Computer Vision Systems for National Security

Prime Solutions Group (PSG), Inc. is seeking an experienced AI and Computer Vision Engineer to develop advanced perception, embedded computing, and machine learning solutions supporting multiple mission-critical national security programs.

This position offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of advanced R&D efforts involving computer vision, object tracking, AI/ML, embedded software, sensor processing, autonomous perception, and emerging neuromorphic computing technologies.

Successful candidates will contribute to the design and implementation of AI and computer vision algorithms, develop production-quality software, evaluate emerging technologies, and support the transition of research concepts into operational systems.

We are looking for T-shaped engineers: individuals with a broad software and AI foundation who also possess deep expertise in one or more technical areas. Engineers at PSG contribute across multiple programs, applying their strengths while continuously expanding their technical breadth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop real-time computer vision and AI algorithms for mission-critical applications.
  • Develop software in C/C++ and Python for embedded and high-performance computing environments.
  • Design and implement computer vision, object detection, object tracking, and perception algorithms.
  • Develop AI-enabled software supporting EO/IR imagery, advanced sensors, and event-based sensing technologies.
  • Evaluate, prototype, and integrate machine learning techniques into operational software systems.
  • Optimize software and algorithms for efficient execution on embedded and high-performance computing platforms.
  • Develop automated testing, validation, and performance evaluation methodologies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to transition research into operational capability.
  • Evaluate and prototype emerging technologies including neuromorphic AI, event-driven sensing, and advanced embedded computing.
  • Prepare technical documentation, customer presentations, and engineering reports.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI with CI Poly
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or related technical discipline.
  • 3-5 years developing software using C/C++.
  • Experience developing software using Python.
  • Experience developing software for computer vision, image processing, or AI/ML applications.
  • Experience with object detection, image analysis, tracking, or sensor processing.
  • Experience with Linux software development.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative software development practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and software engineering skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and government customers.

Preferred skills or experience:

  • Experience with one or more of the following: object tracking, sensor fusion, autonomous perception, or advanced computer vision.
  • Experience developing AI applications for embedded, heterogeneous, or edge computing platforms.
  • Experience applying AI and computer vision techniques to EO/IR imagery, remote sensing, video analytics, or advanced sensor processing.
  • Experience with event-based vision, neuromorphic sensing, Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs), or related AI frameworks.
  • Experience transitioning AI algorithms into operational software.
  • Experience supporting Department of  Defense, Intelligence Community, aerospace, or other mission-critical programs.
  • Demonstrated ability and interest in learning new technologies and contributing across multiple technical disciplines and programs.

Why Join PSG?

At PSG, you'll work alongside highly experienced engineers while contributing across multiple advanced research and development programs. Rather than focusing on a single product or technology, you'll have opportunities to apply your skills to a diverse range of AI, computer vision, embedded computing, and advanced sensing challenges supporting national security.

We offer:

  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Professional development and tuition assistance
  • Flexible and collaborative engineering culture
