Responsibilities
  • Responsible for defining, governing, and evolving the organization's enterprise data platform built on Microsoft Fabric. This role serves as the architectural owner of the long-term data platform vision, ensuring it scales securely, cost-effectively, and in alignment with business priorities.
  • Acts as a bridge between business strategy and technical execution, the role ensures that data platform capabilities are tightly aligned with organizational objectives, enabling teams to deliver insights and data products that drive measurable outcomes.
  • establishes and enforces platform standards across security, governance, scalability, and cost management, balancing innovation with stability, compliance, and financial stewardship.
  • Design end-to-end data architecture across ingestion, storage, modeling, and consumption layers
  • Own Microsoft Fabric platform architecture, configuration, and evolution
  • Establish standards for data governance, security, metadata, and lineage
  • Define platform patterns for API-based integrations and event-driven data flows
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to define platform roadmaps and sequencing
  • Review and guide solution designs produced by engineering and delivery teams
  • Ensure the platform supports enterprise analytics, self-service BI, and AI use cases

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; seven or more years of experience in data architecture or analytics platform leadership; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Microsoft Cloud or Data Architecture certifications preferred, including:
    • Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
    • Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
  • Enterprise architecture or data governance certifications a plus
  • Enterprise data architecture and analytics platform design
  • Microsoft Fabric and cloud analytics ecosystems
  • Data governance, security, and compliance principles
  • Cost optimization, capacity planning, and platform scaling
  • Data modeling, metadata management, and lineage concepts
  • Ability to lead architectural decisions under ambiguity
  • Strong strategic planning and prioritization skills
  • Ability to balance long-term platform vision with near-term delivery needs
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and technical teams
