Job Summary
The Manager of I.T. Development and Data Engineering is a hands-on technical leader
responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of software solutions, data
infrastructure, and system integrations across the organization. This role blends individual
technical contribution with team leadership, overseeing developers and data engineers while remaining actively involved in architecture and design decisions as well as front and back-end development work. This manager ensures that all systems, designs, and integrations adhere to
applicable compliance standards and development best practices.
Job Description
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and train a small team, fostering a collaborative and high-accountability culture
  • Set team priorities, manage workloads, and ensure timely delivery of projects and initiatives
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions

CRM and Platform Development
  • Oversee and contribute to the development and maintenance of CRM and business platform solutions, including configuration, workflow automation, custom development, and third-party integrations
  • Ensure platform architecture aligns with organizational processes, scalability needs, and long-term technology strategy
  • Evaluate and recommend platform tools and solutions that best fit evolving business requirements
  • Manage deployment pipelines, environment strategies, and release management best practices across development and production systems

Data Pipelines & Warehousing
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that support reliable data movement across source systems, warehouses, and downstream consumers
  • Oversee data modeling, transformation logic, and data quality standards
  • Ensure data architecture supports both operational reporting and strategic analytics needs

Integrations & APIs
  • Lead the design and implementation of REST and SOAP API integrations across internal and external platforms
  • Maintain and expand integration architecture connecting various business platforms and third-party vendors
  • Ensure integrations are well-documented, monitored, and built for maintainability

Reporting & Business Intelligence
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs and ensure reporting solutions meet decision-making needs
  • Champion data literacy and self-service analytics across the organization

Compliance & Data Governance
  • Maintain documentation and standards for data flows, system integrations, and development processes
  • Participate in audits, risk assessments, and security reviews as needed
