About The Role:

The Associate Engineer, Data and Analytics partners closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical needs and translates those needs into well-defined technical requirements with guidance from senior team members. This role requires a balance of strong technical aptitude and effective interpersonal skills, as the individual will work directly with the business to ask questions, clarify objectives, and ensure solutions align with business intent. The ideal candidate is technically curious, communicative, and eager to grow while contributing meaningful analytic solutions.

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and data models that reflect defined business requirements, following established standards and best practices.
  • Validate data with business partners to ensure accuracy, usability, and alignment with expectations.

Education and Experience:

  • Education Bachelor’s degree in a technical, analytical, or business-related field.
  • Preferred Experience: 1–3 years of experience (including internships, academic projects, or early career roles) working with data, reporting, or analytics. Working knowledge of SQL and a business intelligence tool such as Power BI.
  • Experience collaborating with business users to understand needs and clarify requirements.

Nice to have experience:

  • Exposure to DAX and Power Query (M).
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or Data Lake Analytical concepts.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Finance or Supply Chain data models.
  • Internship or project experience delivering analytics solutions.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Strong foundational technical skills in SQL, BI tools (e.g., Power BI), and data analysis concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business partners to understand problems, clarify requirements, and explain analytical outcomes.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and asking thoughtful questions to uncover true business needs.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build trust with stakeholders at varying technical levels.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, reliable reporting solutions.
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow technical and business knowledge.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.
  • Ability to move about the facility on a regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting items of up to 20 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking.
