Position SummaryThe IT Technical Associate (Data Integration Analyst) under general direction and as part of a collaborative team, coordinates the analysis, technical design, implementation, and support for clinical application interfaces, which includes the Electronic Health Record systems, specifically Epic clinical applications and integrating systems. Provides interface support on a rotating 24/7 basis. Works closely with the integration manager, application teams, and technical teams to ensure that interfaces meet the business and operational needs of the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Contribute in all phases of application interface development, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, go-live, and support
  • Collaborate with application teams, subject matter experts, and third-party application experts to determine the business needs for interfaces, document the requirements, and configure the interfaces per specifications
  • Coordinate various interface-specific tasks and activities for testing, build, cutover planning, and go-live by engaging subject matter experts, vendors, and interface engine developers
  • Develop data-translation routines and methods to support data and format needs
  • Serve as a resource on application interface projects to ensure that results are achieved and deadlines are met
  • Provide proactive support by monitoring live interfaces and collaborating with experts to provide permanent resolutions to issues
  • Assess impact of clinical application software upgrades on application interfaces and implement necessary updates and changes to coincide with upgrade timelines
  • Act as an internal consultant for healthcare application interface development to address application interface needs
  • Utilize ITSM application and defined ITIL processes to fulfill requests, resolve incidents, and submit requests for change
  • Provide interface support on a rotating 24X7 basis.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor Degree - Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, related information management field or a clinical area of study.
  2. Minimum of one (1) year professional level IT experience within Data Analytics & Integration which includes demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and supporting clinical application interfaces, as well as developing, modifying, distributing, and testing reports, metrics, dashboards, and self-service reporting capabilities in the business intelligence suite of tools and applications.
  3. Certification in one of the following Epic clinical track(s)/application(s) or related certification area:
  • Bridges Interface

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of clinical application interfaces, specifically with design, development, customization and support using application interface software, as well as electronic health records applications, such as Epic.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills required to maintain working relationships with departments, employees, and management at all levels, as well as, outside consultants, vendors, medical groups, and other academic medical centers.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, meet commitments, and balance work demands. Project management skills to coordinate large, multi-dimensional projects.
