Residential Construction Site Superintendent


Location: Florence, AL / Northwest Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee project sites

Note: Candidates should be able to travel to project sites primarily in Lauderdale County, with additional work in Colbert County and Lawrence County as needed.

We are looking for an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on custom home projects. This person will be responsible for keeping jobs organized, subcontractors aligned, quality standards high, and projects moving forward safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a strong field leader who understands residential construction, communicates well, and takes pride in building homes the right way.

This role is a great fit for someone who values quality over shortcuts and can lead projects with strong attention to craftsmanship, communication, and accountability.


Key responsibilities:

  • Manage daily on-site operations for custom home construction projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, deliveries, and project schedules
  • Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, quality standards, and timelines
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
  • Communicate project updates, issues, and needs to the office and leadership team
  • Review work in progress and identify problems before they become costly delays
  • Support client satisfaction by helping deliver a smooth, professional building experience
  • Enforce company standards for craftsmanship, safety, communication, and accountability
  • Use JobTread to update project schedules, track daily progress, upload photos, document jobsite notes, and communicate project updates with the team.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Site Superintendent, Project Superintendent, Lead Carpenter, or Field Manager in residential construction
  • Strong knowledge of custom home building, framing, finishes, schedules, and jobsite sequencing
  • Ability to read plans, manage trades, and solve field issues quickly
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable using basic technology for scheduling, communication, photos, and project updates
  • Experience with high-end custom homes is preferred
  • Experience using JobTread, BuilderTrend or similar construction project management software is a plus.
  • Work areas include Lauderdale County, Colbert County, and Lawrence County. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to these areas.

Pay and benefits:

  • Pay range: $65,000-$80,000+ per year, depending on experience
