Job description

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an Associate Curriculum Alignment Specialist to join our curriculum development team. In this role, you'll work closely with contract aligners and our curriculum design team to implement our alignment strategy. You'll support the creation of skill plans that pair IXL skills with U.S. state standards, textbooks, assessments, and other curriculum documents.

This position requires you to be in our Raleigh, NC, area office.  

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 
  • Coordinate the development of skill plans following our established project guidelines
  • Support other team members with alignment work, including with research, setup, review, and QA 
  • Assign and monitor projects for contract aligners who create and maintain alignment documents for our K-12 math, ELA, science, social studies, and Spanish content
  • Track customer requests, research standards and textbooks, and maintain internal skill plan information
  • Review new skill plans for quality and style; incorporate feedback from other team members to ensure high-quality alignments
  • Learn to use in-house tools to create and release alignments, including formatting alignment spreadsheets to meet our technical requirements
  • Work with our production and engineering teams to troubleshoot bugs and fix errors in data formatting
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education, Math, English, or a related field
  • Experience with K-12 academic standards is preferred
  • Proficiency with math concepts through Algebra 2 is preferred; experience with ELA, science, or social studies is a plus
  • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets; experience with formulas such as vlookup or concatenate is a plus
  • Strong project management and time management skills; ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
