Job Summary:

Conducts curriculum support related activities for nursing students spanning the entire plan of study. Ensures the curriculum for all courses achieves and/or exceeds goals and expectations by coordinating and facilitating delivery of the curriculum, monitors and enforces deadlines; coordinates course activities, and serves as liaison for faculty, students, and GSON administration.

Job Duties:

  • Manages the delivery and coordination of courses for the Geisinger School of Nursing.
  • Manages and coordinates activities between course directors and faculty, teaching assistants and assistant and associate deans.
  • Manages the preparation and execution of course exams and teaching materials, including the use of testing related software.
  • Oversees course information and students' use of the learning management system (LMS) (Ex. Canvas) and related classroom and learning technologies and provides assistance to faculty in loading and maintaining course materials in the LMS.
  • Assures all policy and procedure mechanisms for all course-related activities are followed.
  • Provides time management of course activities including sending deadline reminders and follows up with faculty for needed information.
  • Serves as a point of contact for administration, staff, and faculty related to curricular issues and related academic or student affairs policy for the GSON education programs.
  • Assist with the coordination of class, laboratory, and clinical schedules.
  • Manages course evaluations.
  • Coordinates and monitors academic progress in each course and facilitates remediation plan for at risk students in conjunction with course faculty and their advisor.
