About the Role

As Associate Buyer you will create and drive a customer-obsessed product merchandising vision and business strategy to meet sub-category goals. You will be accountable for the end-to-end execution of product vision for National and Proprietary brands. As a key partner to Design, you will also own and drive the intersection of product innovation and commercialization.

What You’ll Do

  • Own product strategy and buying decisions for National and Proprietary brands

  • Incorporate customer insights, competition, category trends and hindsight to set overarching category assortment vision into business strategy

  • Accelerate consumer insights and drive innovation to make bold trade-offs to maximize sub-categories and brands

  • Partner with store experience team to ensure optimal floor plan creation that reflects customer-facing execution of assortment vision

  • Lead pricing strategy; partner with strategic pricing team to set pricing plans to realize margin targets

  • Guide Assistant Merchants in the execution and season management of pricing, strategy and product selection process for Marketing, and strategy development for First Insight testing

  • Identify markdowns by event and guide Assistant Merchants in the execution of markdowns

  • Lead and guide Assistant Merchants in the execution of digital experience strategy

  • Meet KPIs including Sales performance, Merchandise Gross Margin performance and Turnover Performance to Profit and Loss, Customer Choice Metric and Change Management

  • Additional tasks may be assigned
