We are seeking an Associate Creative Director to lead and mentor our internal Nordstrom creative team, delivering world-class work that connects with customers and drives results. The ideal candidate brings a rare balance of creative vision and strategic clarity - equally comfortable as an individual contributor and leading a team alongside both internal and external agency partners. This person works fast, thinks strategically, and responds to briefs with fresh ideas. They have experience working across multiple marketing channels and understand the complexities and creative implications of a world-class brand.

A day in the life...

You'll collaborate closely with peers, partners, and the Creative Director to concept, develop, and deliver brand, fashion, and product storytelling campaigns across digital channels, print, and store environments. You'll lead in-house ideation while providing creative guidance and expertise to external partners.

You own this if you have...

  • 7+ years of creative direction experience, including a minimum of 3 years leading a team
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in design, marketing, fashion, arts, advertising, journalism, or a related field - or equivalent experience
  • Proven success in high-volume, fast-paced omni-channel or retail environments
  • A portfolio demonstrating integrated campaigns across TV/film, digital, OOH, social media, and print.
  • Experience collaborating with photo art directors, producers, videographers, stylists, set designers, graphic designers, and copywriters
  • Strong leadership skills navigating complex retail and cross-functional organizations
  • Comfort presenting concepts at the executive level to diverse audiences
  • Deep knowledge of influential image makers, photographic styles, and visual references
  • Experience supporting editorial and content strategy
  • A customer-centric, strategic mindset with strong cultural awareness - able to identify macro and micro trends and determine their relevance for the Nordstrom customer
  • Excellent research skills and an ability to quickly absorb and synthesize reference material
  • A strong aptitude for leveraging AI technologies to drive efficiency and innovation
  • Proficiency in Figma, Keynote, and the Adobe Creative Suite
