As a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we are expanding behavioral health services throughout Spartanburg and Cherokee County schools. We are seeking compassionate, mission-driven Licensed School-Based Counselors to work in Cherokee County Schools, who is passionate about improving student well-being, strengthening families, and removing barriers to care.
This is more than a counseling position-it's an opportunity to create meaningful, lasting change in the lives of children, adolescents, and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct behavioral and mental health counseling services to students within school settings.
• Deliver individual, family, and crisis counseling using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Conduct behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school staff, and families to support student success.
• Serve as a trusted behavioral health resource within the school community.
• Connect students and families to additional healthcare and community support services.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation within EMR systems.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care coordination and team meetings.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
• Active South Carolina license as LISW-CP, LMSW, LMFT, or LPC required.
• Associate-level licenses (LMFT-A, LPC-A) are encouraged to apply.

• Knowledge of evidence-based counseling interventions and crisis management.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to culturally competent and community-based care.
• Experience with EMR systems and healthcare documentation preferred.
