AHEAD is seeking an Associate Technical Consultant to join the Storage Delivery Practice and support the implementation and operation of enterprise data center infrastructure. This customer-facing role helps translate business and technical requirements into practical solutions and contributes to delivery activities from planning and preparation through implementation and knowledge transfer.

  • Apply basic configurations to physical infrastructure, including PowerMax, PowerFlex, PowerEdge servers, Cisco switches, Pure FlashArray, FlashBlade, and related platforms.
  • Configure and deploy SAN infrastructure, including Cisco and Brocade Fibre Channel switching.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, implementation plans, operating procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.
  • Serve as a supporting technical point of contact during delivery engagements, status meetings, cutovers, and escalation events.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, account teams, and customer stakeholders to align scope, timelines, and technical outcomes.
  • Support post-implementation knowledge transfer, issue review, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support delivery consistency, technical quality, and customer satisfaction while learning from senior team members and mentors.
  • Stay current on storage, cloud, and infrastructure trends and contribute practical ideas to improving delivery methods and client environments.
Required Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise infrastructure delivery, preferably in consulting, professional services, or complex customer environments.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues across systems, hosts, switches, and related infrastructure.
  • Strong written, verbal, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in client-facing delivery environments.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with automation and orchestration concepts, with experience using one or more tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.
Success Profile:
  • Owns assigned technical tasks and contributes as a reliable member of the Storage Delivery team.
  • Delivers high-quality work with strong attention to execution, risk awareness, and customer outcomes.
  • Builds credibility with customer teams and internal delivery, architecture, and sales stakeholders.
  • Balances hands-on technical execution with customer service, clear communication, and business awareness.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset and a commitment to continually developing technical skills, capabilities, and knowledge.
  • Commits to obtaining storage certifications that are relevant to the practice and support both individual development and practice success.
  • Demonstrates a strong desire to grow professionally, advance their technical career, and contribute to the success of the practice.
Work Environment:

The Associate Technical Consultant works within the Storage Delivery Practice to support project-based delivery for new data center deployments, infrastructure upgrades, and system moves. The role may require after-hours and weekend work based on project schedules or client needs, as well as limited travel for client engagements.

Role Summary:
