The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced, & Senior) to join the F-15 Mission System Software Development Team located in Berkeley, MO.   This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to design and implement new capabilities in the F-15 Operational Flight Program (OFP) for both the United States Air Force (USAF) and international customers.  The candidate will join one of the multi-discipline Agile scrum teams that develop, integrate, and maintain a wide range of aircraft functionalities. Software capabilities will be developed for the Advanced Display Core Processor II (ADCP II), the brains of the Eagle. The successful candidate will implement and test new cutting-edge capabilities and integrate them with a variety of other aircraft subsystems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems

  • Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system

  • Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met

  • Executes and documents software research and development projects

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations

  • Troubleshoots software issues

  • Works under general direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Pre-Start) 

  • 2+ years of experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada

  • 2+ years of experience with object-oriented programming language

  • 2+ years of experience developing, documenting, and maintaining architectures, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 2 / Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 2+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of directly related work experience OR 10+ years of related, relevant experience

  • Level 3 / Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience

  • Level 4 / Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience

  • Agile/SAFe development experience

  • Experience with DevOps tools, such as GitLab (CI/CD), Git Bash, Gradle, Jira, Jenkins, and Artifactory

  • Desirable programming languages include: Ada, C, C++, Python

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders of different backgrounds and skill levels

  • Experience developing embedded real-time software

  • Experience working with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)

Summary pay range for Associate: $99,450.00 - $134,550.00.

Summary pay range for Experienced: $126,650.00 - $171,350.00.

Summary pay range for Senior: $160,650.00 - $217,350.00.
