Job Overview
The Manager, Infrastructure Technology, is responsible for ensuring the Credit Union's technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, and positioned to support both day-to-day operations and future growth. This role leads infrastructure services, technology operations, and vendor partnerships to maintain resilient systems, reduce risk, and enable exceptional experiences for members and team members. The position supports effective technology investments and operational decision-making that advance organizational growth and risk management
Responsibilities
The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibilities required of this position and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills. Team members may be directed at performing job-related tasks other than those specifically stated in this description.
  • Executes the Credit Union's infrastructure strategy, technology roadmap, and modernization initiatives to support business objectives, operational efficiency, and regulatory requirements
  • Manages the governance, performance, availability, security, and scalability of technology infrastructure to ensure reliable and resilient operations
  • Oversees the evaluation, selection, implementation, and lifecycle management of infrastructure technologies, platforms, and services
  • Establishes and maintains infrastructure standards, policies, and practices related to architecture, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, business continuity, and service delivery
  • Manages technology vendors, managed service providers, and consulting partners, including contract administration, service delivery oversight, performance management, and risk mitigation
  • Supports infrastructure planning, budgeting, capacity management, and resource forecasting to align technology initiatives with business needs and organizational growth.
  • Identifies and addresses infrastructure risks, operational gaps, and performance issues through continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen reliability, security, and operational resilience
  • Oversees infrastructure-related projects, technology asset management, and operational service delivery to ensure successful execution and ongoing performance
  • Coordinates infrastructure priorities, escalations, and service delivery activities across technology teams, business stakeholders, executive leadership, and external partners
  • Ensures infrastructure solutions align with current business needs, future growth objectives, and long-term organizational strategy

Minimum Required Qualifications
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud computing environments and/or relevant transferable experience
  • 2+ years of direct people leadership (supervisory) and/or informal leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree or specialized training in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud computing environments
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience (supervisor)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
A representation of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform this job competently.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including servers, virtualization, directory services, cloud computing platforms, hybrid cloud architectures, and Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, including VPNs, wireless technologies, routing, and switching
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and controls, including firewalls, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, identity and access management (IAM), and security monitoring
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, backup strategies, high-availability infrastructure concepts, and infrastructure monitoring
  • Knowledge of infrastructure architecture, technology lifecycle management, capacity planning, and modernization practices
  • Knowledge of financial services technology regulations, cybersecurity frameworks, risk management practices, and data privacy requirements, including NCUA, FFIEC, and NIST standards
  • Skilled in infrastructure monitoring, incident management, and IT service management (ITSM) practices
  • Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, analyze complex information, and drive technology initiatives and operational improvements
