We’re looking for a Training Specialist delivers training programs to employees to ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to perform their roles effectively. This role supports onboarding, refresher training, and continuous learning while reinforcing company standards and procedures.


You will get to:

  • Deliver instructor-led, hands-on, and on-the-floor training to operators on manufacturing processes, equipment, safety procedures, and standard work.
  • Support the onboarding and integration of new employees by providing structured training, guidance, and follow-up coaching to ensure successful transition into operations.
  • Conduct knowledge assessments and competency evaluations to verify operator qualifications, skill proficiency, and adherence to operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal training systems.
  • Assist with the development, review, and updating of training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Provide follow-up support and retraining when needed to address performance gaps, reinforce learning, and promote consistent execution of processes.
  • Identify training gaps or trends and communicate opportunities for improvement with training manager.
  • Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis.
  • Be responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflect positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
  • Embody OFD’s cultural values and align daily actions with department and company culture.


Oregon Freeze Dry has office, manufacturing and outdoor workspaces where this position is required to access and work. Employee will be exposed to varying plant conditions including extreme temperatures, fumes, dust, wet and dry conditions, moderate to high noise. Employees may utilize a variety of tools, equipment or machinery. The work environment is fast paced; employee will perform tasks while experiencing numerous interruptions. This position has the utmost responsibility for compliance with the rules and regulations regarding a safe and healthy work environment relative to their actions and conduct; this includes the ability to effectively use Personal Protective Equipment. While performing the job duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use English written and oral communication skills.

Employee may be required to travel to different work locations by personal car.




We are looking for someone who has:


  • Generally, a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in food manufacturing, including at least one (1) year of training, with a High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in GMP, USDA, FDA or SQF regulated environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain processes, procedures, and expectations to employees at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety requirements relevant to the operation.
  • Ability to engage and coach individuals with diverse levels of experience, learning styles, and language proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure training records, documentation, and compliance requirements are accurate and up to date.
  • Ability to observe employee performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching to support development and qualification.
  • Adaptability and patience with working in fast-paced manufacturing environments with changing priorities and operational needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to support training initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Working proficiency with computer applications and learning systems including Learning Management Systems (LMS), training documentation tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities related to training effectiveness, qualification processes, and on the job performance.
