We’re looking for a Processing Operator to join our Production team. This position is critical to supporting daily production activities on the processing floor by operating and maintaining equipment in a safe, efficient, and quality-driven environment. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working on a team, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
You will get to:

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment; perform changeovers, routine maintenance, and cleaning per SOPs.
  • Guide and coordinate operations team activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and production targets are met.
  • Maintain smooth production flow and promptly report equipment or process issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain product quality by conducting in-process checks, completing accurate documentation, including production records, digital entries, and deviation reports, and reporting any non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance to address equipment concerns, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime.
  • Participate in investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend process improvements and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis.
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflect positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
  • Embody OFD’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department and company culture.

  • 2nd (Mon-Fri 2:45PM - 11:15PM, $.90 Shift Diff)

    • 2, 2, 3 schedule rotation - Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM / Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM ($1.00 diff)

Environment of this position:

  • Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Noise level in the work environment can be loud.
  • Exposure to various food allergens.
  • Constant requirement to stand, walk, climb, push, pull, reach, carry, and lift and twist.
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.

OFD contains office, manufacturing and outdoor workspaces where this position is required to access and work. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand and climb; bend and twist; see, hear and talk; use hands to type, handle or feel tools, controls; use hands and arms to reach, hold and carry tools or items. This position also requires a person to handle environments of varied temperatures and with various food allergens present; and be comfortable at various heights.
We are looking for someone who has:

  • Generally, one (1) years of experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in a regulated or food/GMP environment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to support and assist peers in completing tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to understand how machines work and recognize when something isn’t functioning properly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Willingness to learn new processes, adjust to changes, and take on varied tasks as needed.
  • Understanding of workplace safety practices and ability to follow procedures to prevent accidents.
  • Basic computer proficiency; including experience with data entry, digital forms, or manufacturing software systems.
  • Solid mathematical skills, with the ability to perform basic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and understand measurements, weights, and unit conversions.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, SOPs and technical documents with accuracy.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks effectively and staying organized under pressure.
  • While a standard shift will generally be assigned, this role requires the flexibility to support operations across multiple shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
