Job description

Purpose

Under general supervision, The Admissions Coordinator is the primary point of contact for the Admissions Office and activites at Cleveland University-Kansas City.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Serves as the initial contact person for the admissions office in person telephone, and mail, while managing the calls for the University toll free phone line
  • Analyzes the needs for each caller or visitor and follows through accordingly answering questions, providing appropriate forms, or providing a referral to the appropriate person or department.
  • Updates and maintains  marketing materials on campus and at on campus events such as President’s Banquet, Chamber of Commerce meetings, and other activities
  • Develops and fosters relationships with students and parents via phone, email, or campus visits
  • Greets walk-in and scheduled admissions appointments
  • Maintains general knowledge of college activities, programs and requirements.
  • Assists with direct mail, telephone and email follow-up with student prospects and applicants.
  • Attends meetings, conferences, and workshops to stay updated on issues relating to admissions; attends college meetings and serves on college committees as needed
  • Works to stay within the admissions budget parameters for office supplies and marketing materials
  • Supervises student workers and assists with Campus Ambassador management.
  • Works closely with college personnel, including faculty, counseling, and student services staff so as to ably communicate college programs, admissions requirements, financial assistance, and other essential information to interested parties
  • Operates within the CRM and SIS technologies to support the admissions advisors and recruiters with mailings, informational packets, tours and visits, and other daily functions required within those systems
  • Manages the office supplies inventory, the marketing material inventory, and the kitchen supply inventory
  • Assist with the onboarding of new admissions employees
  • Performs other related tasks as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degree
  • One to three years  of related experience, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong word processing, data entry and proficiency with information systems
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and positively with prospective students, parents, staff, administration and other individuals in either individual or group settings.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with Higher Education or Chiropractic
