Summary of Position
Serve as a dedicated academic partner to the Jilin Jianzhu University (JLJU) - Youngstown State University (YSU) cooperative education programs. Teach undergraduate courses at Jilin Jianzhu University (JLJU) in China and as assigned, on the Youngstown State University (YSU) main campus. Deliver YSU-approved curriculum in accordance with YSU academic standards and contributes to curriculum implementation, student success, program assessment, accreditation, and other academic activities that support the successful operation, quality, and continuous improvement. Participate in department, college, and university service activities.
Position Information
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Qualifications and Competencies
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None.
Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications: At least an earned Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline, and a master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
Preferred Qualifications: 5 years or more of Industrial experience.
Physical Requirements: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.
Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria are met.
