Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and perform repairs and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Coordinate and perform repairs/maintenance of buildings and facility equipment. This includes the building, utilities, HVAC, clean rooms, landscaping and all other facility related systems and grounds.
  • Coordinate and perform calibration of production and facility equipment.
  • Coordinate and perform the creation and maintenance of equipment and gage files per CMMS. (Computerized Maintenance Management system) for all repairs, modifications, preventative maintenance and new facilities and equipment. This includes both electronic files and paper based files as required.
  • Set up and maintain preventative maintenance (PM) programs for all machinery and equipment. Monitor, trend and report unplanned maintenance to evaluate the effectiveness of the PM program. Make changes to PM schedule and requirements as needed to improve equipment up time.
  • Maintains facilities within established CGMP's, ISO, CAL OSHA, Carpinteria Fire Dept, Uniform Building, Fire, and Electrical Codes, and current insurance company requirements.
  • Manage the janitorial staff and contractors to ensure cleanliness of the production, office, warehouse and other areas of the facilities to industry standards, SOP's and
  • Participates on safety committee and corrects noted safety issues as needed.
  • Directly manage and develop maintenance technicians, mechanics, facility coordinator, janitorial staff and related contractors.
  • Responsible for documented completion of training for staff/employees per current company procedures.
  • Develop and manage maintenance department budget and specific facility project budgets. Review and approve purchase requisitions applicable to maintenance department. Create and manage appropriation request (AR) relating to maintenance and facilities.

Qualifications:
  • Education/certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field is preferred
  • Required Experience:
  • 3-5 years maintenance or facilities experience.
  • Experience with electrical devices and wiring, machine modification experience, HVAC and plumbing, hydraulics,
  • construction, clean room filtration experience.
  • Preventative maintenance methods and tactics.
  • Knowledge of Lock-out/Tag-out processes.
  • Understanding and interpretation of technical drawings, schematics and related information.
  • Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
  • Knowledge of applicable environmental regulations and controls.
  • Knowledge of multiple testing and monitoring devices, electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing, including safe usage, maintenance and storage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
