Business Development Associate

Fiduciary Trust International's Business Development department is responsible for securing new business from high-net-worth (HNW) individuals, their families, and related institutions. The Business Development Associate (BDA) will support their associated Wealth Director(s) and greater team by providing support in the development of new business from potential clients.

Key Responsibilities -

Sales Support and Team Collaboration:

  • Partner with Wealth Director(s) to lead sales meetings, prioritize client, prospect, and COI meetings, pipeline management, and prepare for market sales meetings
  • Coordinate follow-up and action items from prospect and COI meetings
  • Assist Wealth Director(s) with preparing for prospect presentations, capability discussions, and business development meetings. Coordinate materials with team members; collaborate with Presentation Center and Legal as needed
  • Research markets, competitors, industries, and prospects to identify opportunities for relationship growth and new client acquisition
  • Partner with team to ensure efficient client experience with respect to opening new accounts, cash flow analysis, fee analysis, and defining proposed asset allocation
  • Serve as key stakeholder in RFP process; partner with team to coordinate a streamlined approach while tracking in collaboration tools and CRM platform
  • Keep team apprised on national events and initiatives
  • Support prospecting efforts through research; AI research experience a plus
  • Build and expand COI network to help with lead generation
  • Provide general team support and prepare various internal company documents

Client Onboarding and Events/Sponsorship:

  • Assist with account opening process by partnering with Investment Team and/or Trust Officers
  • Act as an Events and Sponsorship Liaison to coordinate and implement office events, including client, prospect, and COI events
  • Coordinate amongst teams on office events and sponsorship approval process, while consolidating event lists and tracking ROI / follow up
Ideal Qualifications & Experience -

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3 years' experience within the finance industry, preferably in a support capacity
  • Prior client service experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in writing and responding to RFPs / RFIs a plus
  • Experience maintaining a data repository a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage projects with prompt follow through in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Team player mentality / collaborative attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism required
  • Superior telephone etiquette with the ability to communicate directly with clients (HNW Investors) and senior leaders
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite; experience using MS Teams a plus
  • Ability to work out of our Atlanta, GA office four days per week
