Job description

Billboard is looking for a highly creative, music-obsessed Associate Producer, Branded Content to join our Brand Studio team. This role is an opportunity for an emerging producer and storyteller to play a key role in developing and executing premium branded content across video, editorial, social, live experiences, and talent-driven partnerships. Working alongside a talented team of creatives, producers, and strategists, this person will contribute to campaigns from initial concept through execution while building expertise across creative development, production, social storytelling, and project management. The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller with experience bringing ideas to life in a fast-paced media, entertainment, agency, or brand environment. They are curious, proactive, highly organized, and eager to grow-someone who can take ownership of projects, collaborate across teams, and bring fresh ideas rooted in music, culture, and digital trends.
From concept through execution, this person will support the team in developing compelling content, managing project workflows, and delivering impactful brand experiences.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Brand Studio, this role partners closely with Sales, Editorial, Social, Creative, Design, Video, Production, Events, and external vendors to deliver best-in-class branded experiences across every touchpoint.
Billboard values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Sales and Strategy teams on pre-sale creative development, including brainstorms, pitch ideation, proposal development, talent recommendations, sponsorship concepts, production planning, and budget development for integrated branded content programs valued at $2MM+
  • Contribute to the development and execution of custom branded content campaigns across video, editorial, social, experiential, and talent-driven partnerships, while owning select projects from development through delivery and managing timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination
  • Collaborate on the development of creative treatments, video concepts, interview frameworks, branded editorial content, articles, social-first campaigns, social copy, event activations, and other storytelling assets that bring brand narratives to life across platforms
  • Support the Brand Studio's social slate by contributing to social-first creative strategies, content calendars, copywriting, publishing, campaign workflows, and rollout plans that maximize audience engagement, cultural relevance, and platform performance
  • Coordinate talent partnerships from recommendation through campaign completion, including bookings, negotiations, contracts, creative participation, production logistics, payment processing, and fulfillment of partnership deliverables and social obligations
  • Partner cross-functionally with Brand Partnerships, Editorial, Video, Social, Production, Events, Project Management, Account Management, Legal, and Finance teams, as well as external production companies and creative partners, to deliver best-in-class storytelling and client solutions
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Account Management, and Sales teams on post-campaign execution, including recap decks, performance reporting, asset organization, and final program delivery
  • Support Brand Studio operations as needed, including project tracking, financial coordination, internal materials, documentation, reporting, and workflow management
  • Contribute to the growth of Brand Studio's external creative network by identifying and supporting relationships with writers, producers, directors, editors, photographers, content creators, and other freelance partners
  • Manage digital production and publishing workflows across WordPress, JW Player, Brightcove, and social platforms, ensuring branded content is delivered accurately, on schedule, and aligned with editorial and creative standards

Requirements
  • At least 1-3 years of writing and producing experience at a major publication, brand, or network
  • Strong background in digital, video, branded content, and events
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in content publishing platforms like WordPress and JW Player
  • Light video editing and proficiency with tools like Premier and CapCut
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve creative development and production efficiency
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus
  • Working network of freelance writers, producers, editors, directors, and photographers
  • In-depth knowledge and passion for music and pop culture
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Familiarity with Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite, JIRA, and Salesforce is a plus
