BEPC is actively looking for an Associate Systems Engineer in the Tucson, AZ area!


W2 Contract – Approximately 12 months with possible extensions!


 Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Associate Systems Engineer to join our client’s site in Tucson, AZ. This role will support lab work involving electro-mechanical devices, including running protocols, conducting tests, and collecting data to assess new development functional models.

The position applies intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices, and implementation in complex systems and assignments. Responsibilities include generating design concepts, participating in design reviews, developing and testing systems against design specifications, performing reliability testing, and assessing system interactions. The role also makes independent decisions and assists with developing manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root causes and possible engineering solutions.


 Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn and follow company concepts, policies, procedures, and standard practices.
  • Complete work based on detailed directions.
  • Work on projects of moderate scope in which analyzing situations or data requires reviewing identifiable factors.
  • Make suggestions to improve work processes.
  • Assist in reducing patentable inventions to practice.
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
  • Participate in technical team activities.
  • Present and discuss data within the group.
  • Monitor work to ensure quality and continuously promote Quality First Time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in systems engineering or a related field, such as mechanical, chemical, or biomedical engineering.
  • Zero to three years of experience.
  • Knowledge of basic and some specialized engineering techniques.
  • Familiarity with searching technical literature.
  • Skill in using word-processing, spreadsheet, graphical, and presentation software applications.
  • Ability to follow written instructions.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of or experience with electro-mechanical devices.
  • Relevant internship experience in the medical segment.
  • Energetic, inquisitive, and hands-on approach.
