Job Summary
The Supervisor-Retail Operations manages the day-to-day activities of the employee store sales staff and fulfillment team. Responsible for setting daily goals and priorities aligning with leadership and communicating to store team. Assists in training new associates. Over sees and participates in the execution of tasks required to deliver excellent customer service, maintain store standards, transact sales and fulfill web orders. Helps maintain inventory levels, merchandise selection, processing, and pricing. Assists with fulfillment of network and interdepartmental merchandise needs. Audits the store website and participates in its maintenance and improvement. Supports a schedule of promotional and marketing events. Assists with the planning, ordering, packing, shipping, and execution of offsite events. Fosters an engaged, interdependent team atmosphere, offers coaching and encourages opportunities for independent growth.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  • Assists leadership to achieve revenue budgets and yearly goals by setting and communicating daily goals and priorities to store team.
  • Sets the standard and demonstrates excellent customer service to customers and partners.
  • Supervises daily store activities in employee locations and ecommerce business.
  • Provides first point of solution when challenges escalate beyond associate level.
  • Able to perform all transactions on point of sale.
  • Ensures all customer orders and returns are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Maintains merchandising visual standards, safety standards and organizational requirements at all locations.
  • Assists with maintaining stock levels through inventory analysis and recommending product needs, transfers between locations, and price increases or reductions.
  • Maintains sufficient inventory levels to ensure appropriate product quantity on the sales floor and for web order fulfillment while also ensuring competitive inventory turn.
  • Leads the team in processing merchandise through receiving and transfer processes.
  • Assists with new product selection.
  • Assists with physical inventory and cycle counts.
  • Assists with all phases of offsite event planning and execution.
  • Enhances the Cirrus Store website by auditing to ensure detailed information and inventory accuracy.
  • Working in concert with the marketing department and retail leadership, supports a schedule of promotional events to grow sales and increase revenue.
  • Assists in analysis to determine product and event success and status.
  • Assists in creating standard operating processes and their implementation.
  • Assists in staff hiring and in team member training.
  • Provides coaching to team members and recognizes accomplishments.
  • Delegates new responsibilities as determined possible.
  • Communicates with leadership when issues arise and assists in determining and implementing solution.
  • Embodies and promotes the Cirrus culture, mission, vision and values led by the Cirrus guiding principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising or Business
  • 5+ years retail experience with increasing responsibility and supervisory experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience to the above.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Capable to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Adapts easily to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong organizational skills and capacity to multitask.
  • Overnight travel and weekend work will be required.
  • Good driving record and use of own car, with mileage reimbursement, is necessary.
  • Knowledge of general aviation is a plus.
