Job description

The Law Office of Vugar Jafarov is seeking an associate attorney to join our growing team of 2 attorneys and 6 support staff.

The firm is located in Sudbury, MA, with a second office in Raleigh, NC (coming soon). You will be based in our Raleigh or Sudbury office (Remote work possible after training). The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, have a demonstrated interest in serving the immigrant community, and have a strong academic and writing record.

We want someone who can handle the following matters: removal defense, affirmative and defensive asylum, family-based petitions, special immigrant juvenile cases, VAWA, U petitions, naturalization, and other immigration matters. You will be expected to prepare filings, appeals, and motions, attend USCIS interviews, and frequently appear in immigration and family court. We are looking for someone who is a compassionate communicator, reliable, efficient, and a team player.

  • What states do you have bar membership in? If you are not barred in Massachusetts or North Carolina, are you willing to be?
