Litigation Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation

Location: Madison, WI
Experience: 5+ years preferred
Bar Admission: Wisconsin Bar or eligibility for admission

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated and collaborative Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Madison, Wisconsin office. The ideal candidate will have strong civil litigation experience and an interest or experience in Trusts & Estates litigation.

This role provides the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on a variety of litigation matters while developing independent client relationships and business development skills.

Practice Areas

The attorney will work on a diverse range of civil litigation matters, including:

  • Trusts & Estates Litigation

  • Business Disputes

  • Contract Disputes

  • Real Estate Disputes

  • Construction Disputes

  • General Civil Litigation

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior attorneys with a variety of civil litigation matters.

  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.

  • Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery.

  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings.

  • Assist with case strategy and client communication.

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

  • Develop professional relationships and participate in business development activities.

  • Stay current on relevant legal developments and litigation practices.

Required Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar or eligibility for admission.
