About the Role:
We are seeking an Attorney, licensed and located in Ohio, to join our growing team in retail consumer collections. If you enjoy working on a team in a fast-paced environment and have an interest in leveraging the latest in technology, the firm could be a good fit for you. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in creditorโ€™s rights and civil litigation and be eager to contribute to all aspects of file generation and litigation. This position, which reports to our state lead, is best suited for quick learning, dependable, and collaborative attorneys. As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Use your Juris Doctorate degree, analytical mindset, and knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to creditorโ€™s rights and collections to develop and implement case-level litigation strategy, and zealously represent clients at court proceedings
  • Have a high bar for excellence, a sense of urgency, and advanced interpersonal and written communication skills to partner with our internal team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to efficiently manage dockets and cases, prepare pleadings, and ensure seamless case management
  • Use your good judgement, complex problem-solving skills, and achievement orientation to negotiate settlements with defendants and opposing counsel, defend against counterclaims, and navigate escalated litigation matters to resolve disputes.
  • Be adept in leveraging the latest industry technology, monitoring and educating team members on changes to laws or regulations, and support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency
  • Enjoy regional travel to appear at courts throughout Ohio, have a good standing with the Ohio Bar Association, and be able to meet requirements of our thorough background review process
