REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Highly enjoys working with and supporting students in a positive, productive and patient manner.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and meet requirement for background check and fingerprinting
  • Paraprofessionals who work in buildings supported with Title 1 funds must meet one of the following requirements:
    • Complete at least 2 years of study at an institution of higher education (60 semester hours) OR obtain an Associates' Degree or higher; OR
    • Meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through formal state or local academic assessment (Workkeys Test, MTTC, ETS Para Assessment

A successful candidate will .
  • Support students in the school environment physically, academically, behaviorally and socially, including assisting students with auxiliary and augmentative communication
  • Have professional tact, diplomacy and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and community; understand and maintain confidentiality
  • Have the physical ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds

PREFERRED QUALIFICIATIONS:
  • Completion of First Aid, CPR, Behavior Management and Physical Intervention Skills
