Associate Attorney

We are a growing, client-focused law firm committed to delivering high-quality legal services and strategic solutions. Our team is collaborative, fast-paced, and dedicated to achieving exceptional results. We are seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team and contribute across a range of civil litigation matters.


Position Overview

This role is a general litigation position with a strong emphasis on commercial litigation and employment litigation. The Litigation Associate Attorney will handle cases from inception through resolution, working closely with partners and clients. This position offers meaningful courtroom exposure, hands-on case management, and opportunities for professional growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of general civil litigation matters, with a focus on commercial and employment disputes
  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
  • Take and defend depositions; participate in mediations, hearings, and arbitrations
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Oversee discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery
  • Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation and exhibit organization
  • Maintain accurate case files and ensure adherence to all deadlines

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active bar license in good standing in Texas
  • 2-5+ years of litigation experience, ideally including exposure to commercial and/or employment matters
  • Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Experience handling hearings, depositions, and motion practice
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
