Job description

We're looking for a sharp, motivated Associate Attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation experience to join a growing team. The firm has a national presence but offers a small firm culture. If you’re someone who enjoys working on a wide variety of cases, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to keep learning, this could be a great fit. If you are the type of lawyer who enjoys more hands on and wants to build their own book of business. This is a great opportunity for you.

This role involves working on everything from general liability and premises liability to construction defect and professional liability matters. Trial experience is a big plus, and you must be licensed to practice in Georgia's state and federal courts.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll be handling your own caseload with support from experienced partners and colleagues. Some of the work includes:

  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memos

  • Responding to discovery and dispositive motions

  • Taking and defending depositions

  • Researching complex legal issues

  • Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and claims professionals

  • Getting involved in mediations, arbitrations, and trials

  • Writing case evaluations and status reports for clients

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia bar (state and federal courts)

  • Someone who can work independently but also values collaboration

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Solid research and analytical thinking

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple cases without dropping the ball

  • Familiarity with both state and federal court procedures
