PacSci EMC, a Ralliant company, is seeking a Design Engineer to support the design, development, improvement, production, and sustainment of ordnance components and systems for mission-critical products supporting the U.S. warfighter. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Test, and Program Management throughout the product lifecycle and is well suited for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
Position Summary
PacSci EMC is seeking a Design Engineer to support the design, development, improvement, production, and sustainment of ordnance components and systems for mission-critical products supporting the U.S. warfighter. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Test, and Program Management throughout the product lifecycle. Successful Design Engineers are naturally curious, take ownership of their work, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and thrive in a collaborative, hands-on engineering environment.
Primary Responsibilities
• Sustain, develop, and improve ordnance product mechanical designs from concept through their production lifecycle.
• Perform engineering analysis and create engineering documentation.
• Support prototype, qualification, production, and sustainment engineering activities.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to Manufacturing and Quality.
• Lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain product design configuration management records, including engineering drawings and bills of material.
• Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams across engineering disciplines.
• Support proposal efforts and technical evaluations as required.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred; Aerospace Engineering or other engineering disciplines may also be considered.
• Typically 3+ years of relevant mechanical and/or ordnance design experience. Outstanding candidates with strong technical aptitude and less experience will also be considered.
• Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings and applying GD&T.
• Experience using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred; equivalent CAD platforms acceptable).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Aerospace or Defense industry experience.
• Manufacturing support experience.
• DOE, DFMA, FMEA, failure analysis, or engineering simulation experience.
• ANSYS or SolidWorks CAE simulation.
• Configuration management systems (Oracle Agile PLM preferred).
• Machine shop or fabrication experience.

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 66900.00-124300.00
