Certified Nursing Assistant

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to residents in a long-term care facility. The CNA works under the supervision of licensed nursing staff to ensure residents receive compassionate, safe, and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output as directed.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
  • Ensure residents' rooms are clean, safe, and organized.
  • Assist with meal setup and feeding assistance when necessary.
  • Promote resident comfort, dignity, and independence.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests.
