Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories, thorough physical examinations, and necessary diagnostic evaluations to determine the best course of pain management.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in close collaboration with supervising physicians, employing evidence-based practices to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
  • Perform various procedures and minor surgical interventions tailored to pain management, including injections, nerve blocks, and other modalities, under physician supervision.
  • Provide robust patient education regarding their medical conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to promote health maintenance and mitigating chronic pain.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, including documentation of patient encounters, treatment progress, and follow-up care to facilitate continuity of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to, arthritis, fibromyalgia, post-surgical pain, and neuropathic pain. You will be instrumental in helping patients navigate their pain management journey, ultimately improving their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in California.
  • Proficient clinical skills with the ability to work independently and make decisions within the scope of practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in pain management or related specialties is highly desirable but not required.
