Job description

The Workday Technical Administrator will play a key role in the design, build, and optimization of Workday Financials, with a strong focus on Prism Analytics, Accounting Center, Adaptive Planning and overall integration landscape. This position will join during an active implementation phase and will help bridge financial operations and system architecture, ensuring that accounting and reporting requirements are accurately represented in Workday's data and reporting layers.

The role requires strong technical expertise in Workday data structures, Prism dataset builds, Accounting Center configurations, and integration testing to support data flowing from the enterprise data lake into Workday Financials.

Responsibilities:

Implementation & Design Phase

  • Partner with the implementation team to define, test, and validate data transformations within Prism and Accounting Center.

  • Review and approve data mapping logic from external systems to Workday ledger structures.

  • Participate in Financial Data Model (FDM) design sessions to ensure reporting alignment.

  • Assist with integration testing, data validation, and cutover planning for data sources feeding into Workday.

  • Build or enhance Prism datasets, calculated fields, and dashboards that will support go-live KPIs and financial reporting.

Post Go-Live / Optimization

  • Own and maintain Accounting Center configuration and Prism pipelines for ongoing financial operations.

  • Develop custom reports, dashboards, and KPIs for Accounting, FP&A, and leadership teams.

  • Partner with Accounting to troubleshoot or enhance data posting logic and reconciliation.

  • Support Workday release updates, regression testing, and adoption of new financial functionality.

  • Establish data governance standards and documentation for all Prism and Accounting Center processes.

  • Serve as technical subject matter expert for Workday and associated platforms.

  • Deliver scalable, secure and reliable integration solutions that support business operations and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Workday Financials experience, with at least 2 years in Prism Analytics or Accounting Center.

  • Strong understanding of Workday's Financial Data Model (FDM), journals, worktags, ledgers, reporting and security.

  • Proven experience translating accounting requirements into Workday data or configuration designs.

  • Understanding of integration data flows (EIBs, Workday Studio, or data lake pipelines).

  • Ability to build complex Prism datasets, calculated fields, and dashboards.

  • Experience in Workday Financials implementations or similar ERP transformation projects is strongly preferred.

  • Workday certification in Financial Management, Reporting, or Prism Analytics preferred.

  • Ability to operate in an implementation environment - balancing project deadlines and quality.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, OfficeConnect).

  • Experience with data lakes or ETL concepts (Fabric).

  • Knowledge of Workday Security and Reporting security model.

  • Workday Expertise in Integrations, Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Web Services, Calculated Fields.

Pay Range:

$123,685.00 - $185,529.00
