About the Job
MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, located in northeast Baltimore County just outside Baltimore City, is seeking an experienced Neurocritical Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), Nocturnist to join our growing Neurocritical Care team.
As a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and MedStar Health's destination for advanced neuroscience care, you'll care for high acuity neurologic patients, develop advanced procedural expertise, and practice with clinical autonomy alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.
Position Summary
Join our 338-bed community teaching hospital, affiliated with Georgetown University School of Medicine, where APPs are integral members of a high acuity Neurocritical Care program.
Highlights include:
  • Manage critically ill neurologic and neurovascular patients
  • Perform advanced bedside procedures, including arterial lines, point of care ultrasound, dialysis catheters, and lumbar punctures
  • Lead Rapid Response and Sepsis Response Teams
  • Develop your skills through our established Neurocritical Care APP curriculum, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities
Schedule
  • Full-time Nocturnist
  • Dedicated Nocturnists receive a generous salary adjustor that may be applied to base salary or annual clinical target
  • Average 13 shifts per month, offering excellent work-life balance with ample time away from the hospital.

Qualifications
  • Board certified AGACNP or Physician Assistant
  • Maryland license or eligibility
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • One year of APP experience preferred, ideally in critical care or neurocritical care
