ISP Program Assistant
The Kennedy Center International Study Program is seeking a detail-oriented and service-minded ISP Program Assistant to help support the successful planning and execution of international study programs. In this role, you will work closely with International Program Coordinators, faculty directors, and students to facilitate meaningful global learning experiences. If you enjoy organizing complex logistics, assisting students, and contributing to life-changing international opportunities, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the study abroad experience at BYU.
Note: This position is part-time 28 hours per week.
What you'll do in this position:
  • Coordinate and support travel logistics, including visa research, accommodations, transportation, and site visit arrangements for international study programs.
  • Assist students with travel preparation by advising on visa processes, collecting travel information, and providing program-related communications.
  • Support study abroad marketing efforts by maintaining website content, assisting with promotional activities, and helping coordinate events, fairs, and information booths.
  • Help maintain program materials, flyers, and records to ensure information remains current and accessible.
  • Assist coordinators with program budgets, payments, emergency situations, and last-minute logistical changes.
  • Prepare training materials and assist with faculty and student training activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internship placement organizations and other program partners as assigned.
  • Collaborate with faculty directors and staff to support international programs serving more than 400 students annually.

Required
  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent university work experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and database software.
  • Strong interpersonal, public relations, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional service.

  • Bachelor's degree plus two years of university work experience or equivalent experience.
  • Previous participation in a BYU International Study Program.

Typical Starting Pay: $20.50 - $26.50
The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate's job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
