Job Title: Commercial Construction Project Manager

Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to lead commercial construction projects from inception through closeout while working in a values-driven, team-oriented environment. As a Commercial Construction Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the project life cycle, collaborate closely with ownership, and manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholder relationships. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of the project life cycle from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Create, manage, and track project budgets to ensure financial performance and cost control.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
  • Manage the Request for Information (RFI) and submittal processes to ensure timely and accurate communication.
  • Lead project buyout activities, including procurement and negotiation with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Prepare, manage, and administer subcontracts throughout the project.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Oversee cost management and reporting, providing regular updates on financial status and forecasts.
  • Identify, address, and manage the resolution of project issues and conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Manage project staff, providing direction, coordination, and support to ensure successful delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate the project closeout process, ensuring all documentation, punch lists, and final requirements are completed.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience managing projects as a Project Manager for a Commercial General Contractor.
  • Demonstrated project management experience in commercial construction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction plans and specifications.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong math and analytical skills for budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Construction management and estimation experience.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
