What We Need
2K is looking for an experienced and strategic Producer to join our Core Games Publishing team. You will collaborate closely with Gearbox and internal publishing groups to support milestone delivery, cross-functional alignment, and operational execution across one or more high-profile AAA projects. Reporting to a Senior Producer or Lead Producer, you will serve as a player-obsessed leader, guiding the delivery of features and milestones in a timely manner and to a high degree of quality. You will help manage the execution of project plans, identify and mitigate risks, and maintain clear lines of communication across all stakeholders. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creatively ambitious environment and who brings clarity, ownership, and accountability to complex, cross-functional efforts.
What You Will Do
  • Industry & Product Expertise: Contribute to product strategy and execution through knowledge of the game development process, understanding how individual features and creative goals map to player expectations and broader player motivations. Identify opportunities for innovation in established workflows and in the delivery of product quality or features.
  • Judgment & Decision-Making: Support milestone planning and delivery by collaborating with development and publishing partners to ensure the right information flows to the right people at the right time. Balance scope, schedule, and cost tradeoffs to support delivery outcomes; understand resource tradeoffs and downstream impacts, escalating risk appropriately.
  • Production Leadership: Manage execution for defined features, workstreams, or a product. Contribute to product planning to balance the competing priorities of quality, time, and cost. Advise leadership on project risks and opportunities. Resolve daily operational and development challenges, propose mitigation strategies, and coordinate across functions to ensure milestone success.
  • Collaboration & Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with studio and publishing peers. Align multiple disciplines around shared goals; ensure coordination across workstreams and surface gaps or misalignments.
  • Communication: Craft clear, concise updates for stakeholders at all levels. Support the creation of decks, reports, and milestone documentation that guides decisions and supports transparency. Build alignment across development and publishing teams through structured communication.
  • Player-Focus: Advocate for the player experience in planning and tradeoffs during all stages of development. Work closely with Research, Community, Data Science, and Product Management teams to ensure player impact is consistently represented in feature prioritization and execution decisions. Maintain awareness of player sentiment and expectations throughout the lifecycle of the product, ensuring design intent meets player needs.
  • Quality-Focus: Maintain a high bar for quality across all deliverables, from milestone builds to final polish. Proactively track quality risks, increase visibility across teams, and support prioritization efforts to deliver the resolution of known issues. Ensure the game delivers a consistently engaging and stable player experience across platforms and releases.
What Will Make You a Great Fit
  • 3-5+ years of experience in game production, publishing production, product management, or related roles, with exposure to full game lifecycles including post-launch operations.
  • Hands-on experience with live service games or ongoing content production.
  • Comfort with distributed development, including studios in different time zones or regions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with development teams and internal publishing groups (e.g., Marketing, Commercial, QA, Research).
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, deliverables, and communications across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and strong instincts for risk spotting and issue triage.
  • A proactive mindset: you spot gaps, ask questions, and collaborate to improve how things get done.
  • Tailored communication skills, including the ability to write clearly, lead meetings, and create documentation that builds alignment and action.
  • Experience building trust and alignment across a wide range of partners-developers and publishing functions alike-through thoughtful communication and a player-first mindset.
  • Deep passion for games and a keen ability to articulate what makes a quality AAA game in a given genre.
  • Embodies 2K's values and serves as a role model for excellence, integrity, and creative leadership.
  • Ready to contribute hands-on and eager to help out wherever needed.
  • Experience managing feature budgets or financial workflows.

Bonus Points
  • Experience with AAA development is preferred.
  • Comfortable using research and analytics, applying data to inform product outcomes.
  • Experience in producing systems-based game development is a plus.
  • A self-motivated, lifelong learner who recognizes the games industry is always evolving; the only constant is change.
