Job Description
As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in our company's operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of gravel trains. Our team values professionalism, safety, and timely deliveries. You will be part of a dynamic and experienced crew, contributing to our reputation as a reliable transportation service provider.
Responsibilities
  • Operate OTR trucks to transport gravel trains, following strict safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with clients, colleagues, and site personnel.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each trip, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Plan and execute routes efficiently, considering traffic conditions and optimal delivery times.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper distribution and securement, and adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, including times, locations, and any relevant observations.
  • Communicate regularly with dispatch and the team, providing updates and receiving instructions for seamless coordination.
  • Assist in truck maintenance and cleanliness, ensuring a safe and comfortable work environment.
  • Collaborate with foremen and site operations staff to understand specific requirements and ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including regular drug and alcohol testing.

Qualifications
  • Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with double endorsements.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience driving OTR trucks, with a proven track record in gravel train hauling.
  • Maintain a clean and safe driving history, free from major violations or accidents.
  • Be physically fit and capable of performing basic truck maintenance tasks.
  • Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the team and clients.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing road conditions.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation and basic truck diagnostics for efficient route planning.
  • Willingness to undergo regular drug and alcohol testing as per company policy.
