Job description

LSSE Civil Engineers and Surveyors is looking for a Traffic Engineer to join our team. We are a 180+ person civil engineering and surveying consulting firm with over 10 locations primarily located in western Pennsylvania. LSSE’s projects support public infrastructure and community development. Our clients include local boroughs and townships, water and sewer authorities, industrial and residential land developers, and utility companies.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 3-10 years’ experience in traffic engineering
  • EIT required; PE preferred
  • PTOE preferred
  • MicroStation and AutoCAD experience desirable
  • Candidate will assist Civil Engineers and Project Managers with the preparation of traffic plans, traffic engineering analyses, and traffic studies.
  • Driver’s license required
  • Specific duties will include:
    • Prepare specifications and plans for roadway improvement projects
    • Conducting technical analyses
    • Traffic Calming studies
    • Traffic Calming design
    • Preparing technical reports
    • Preparing transportation-related plans and graphics
    • Collecting field data, traffic counts, and other research
    • Preparing quantities and construction cost estimates
    • Traveling to job sites for site visits, data collection, and meetings, as required
    • Providing technical support for meetings
    • Other duties as directed by senior staff
