Ray Mart is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accounting Assistant to join our corporate team in Temple, Texas. We are a growing management company that has been in business since 1958. This position provides an excellent opportunity to grow within a stable, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and possess a solid background in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation, with the ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform general ledger accounting tasks including journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Process bi-weekly and salaried payroll through ADP for multiple entities
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports and general ledger entries
  • Maintain accuracy in financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Collaborate with HR to support safety requirements
  • Create and manage reports using Excel and ADP as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years accounting experience
  • Minimum of 3 years payroll experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.)
  • ADP Experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Must pass background check and drug screening.
