Job description

Provides administrative assistance to assigned Minister(s) and ministries at Prestonwood Baptist Church ("PBC").

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative assistance to assigned minister to include scheduling appointments, answering telephone, ordering office supplies, and other clerical and administrative duties.
  • Provide administrative support to LifeGroup class leadership for the purpose of scheduling upcoming events, providing outreach information and providing necessary information for attendance, outreach, and announcements
  • Respond to requests and inquiries from Ministry leadership, teachers, members, attendees, and prospects
  • Run required ministry reports
  • Compose and distribute correspondence for the Ministry
  • Coordinate with appropriate church staff for the purpose of organizing ministry events
  • Under the direction of the minister, compose and create informational letters, brochures, etc. for distribution
  • Prepare materials for training
  • Assist with the preparation for special events conducted by the ministries
  • Maintain files
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC
  • Experience in an administrative role preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work a flexible weekday schedule with flexibility to work occasional Sundays for Church scheduled events
  • Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, occasionally perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 10 pounds without assistance
