This job is a full time, benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in the Nursing Sciences Division that reports to the Dean of Nursing and Life Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications: (Job Code 10708)Doctorate or Master's degree in the discipline. Current RN licensure in Georgia. At least one (1) earned graduate degree in nursing and at least three (3) years of teaching experience in a nursing education program leading to initial registered nurse licensure.Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all regulatory agencies and appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned.Prior teaching experience in a college-setting, post-secondary or technical education setting is required, including experience with curriculum design and development, student evaluation, and outcome assessment.

Job Description Summary:The program director is responsible for the ongoing management, development, implementation, and instruction of the Associate Degree Nursing program.Duties include curriculum design and development; instruction, recruitment, and advisement of students; budgeting; management of adjunct faculty; and participation in college committees and professional enhancement activities. The program director will teach a minimum of 19 contact hours of day or evening instructional courses per semester [not including Occupational Based-Instruction or internships]. Teaches face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes as needed to provide course delivery and scheduling options that promote student retention and program completion. Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. Requests and maintains supplies and equipment and prepares budget requests. Maintains program accreditation requirements. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Attends staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences. Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area. Meets with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss students' instructional programs and other issues.
