Position Overview

The Assistant Program Director will provide supervision of Case Management services to ensure quality care for adults that have experienced Homelessness and Mental Illness. In the absence of the Program Director the Assistant Program Director will supervise all program staff in conjunction with the Program and Regional Director.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Familiar with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations as they apply to the community residence program and agency policies.
  • Familiar with OMH regulations.
  • Direct supervision of all program staff with regard to Case Management.
  • Development and implementation of individual client service plans in conjunction with clinical staff, counseling team and client.
  • Responsible for ensuring that contracts with clients reflect the goals of service plans. Assist counselors in developing intervention goals and activities which support the service plan.
  • Coordinate Annual Functional Assessment Review for each client, submitting report and recommendations to Utilization Review Committee.
  • Maintain contact with other service agencies and ensure client placement for treatment and program activities (may include volunteer job placement).
  • Coordinate with Intake Coordinator of orientation and transitioning in to program for all new residents.
  • Participate in discharge planning.
  • Provide emergency and relief coverage as necessary.
  • May represent agency with community groups and agencies.
  • Prepare report for Regional Director of Behavioral Health Services and VP of Behavioral Health Services, including any problems, and proposals for changes in policies or program design.
  • Provide supervisory meetings with all staff and maintain documentation of these meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Services or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with homelessness and mental illness.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Masterโ€™s degree preferred.
  • Professional license LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC preferred.
  • Experience working with different populations.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking.
