Physical Therapy Assistant will provide services for curative, rehabilitative, and/or preventive purposes. PTA will also provide Physical Therapy services for patients assisting in the treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication and functions under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

🦺 Safety & Professional Standards
  • Follow all safety, infection control, OSHA, and emergency preparedness procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, punctuality, and effective time management.
  • Work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Complete required training, meetings, and continuing education.

  • Provide physical therapy treatments in patients' homes under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans to improve strength, mobility, balance, coordination, transfers, gait, and overall function.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and assistive devices.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., assist with transfers and mobility activities, and navigate stairs and varying home environments.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to drive throughout the workday.
