Job description

At HoganTaylor, we're not just about numbers; we're about people. Our firm stands tall on the principles of unity, service, and dynamic, reflecting in everything we do. We are on the lookout for a Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) Consulting Executive who’s passionate about making a meaningful impact on our clients, our communities, and our team.

As a CAAS Consulting Executive, you’ll deliver CFO- and Controller-level consulting and financial leadership to a portfolio of clients, serving as a trusted advisor who brings clarity, confidence, and strategic insight to business owners and executives. This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, solving complex challenges, strengthening client relationships, and equipping others to do their best work in a dynamic environment built on collaboration, growth, and remarkable service.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a strategic CFO/Controller-level advisor, providing financial leadership, executive coaching, and consultation to clients
  • Provide leadership for CAAS staff by supervising, mentoring, developing, and strengthening performance
  • Prepare and/or oversee the delivery of monthly GAAP financial statements, ensuring accuracy, quality, and client-ready insights
  • Lead and manage month-end close processes, improving efficiency and consistency across client engagements
  • Develop schedules and supporting documentation for tax and audit needs, ensuring smooth coordination and responsiveness
  • Build and interpret financial models, forecasting tools, and analytical deliverables that support decision-making
  • Document and improve client workflows to identify efficiency gains, internal controls, and scalable best practices
  • Lead business and process improvement projects, including M&A-related initiatives and due diligence support
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships
  • Secure new CAAS client relationships and collaborate across the firm to cross-sell HoganTaylor services
  • Forecast client hours and resource needs to deliver exceptional client outcomes while supporting team sustainability
  • Deliver work aligned with firm quality control standards; expected annual client time includes 1,200 chargeable hours within a 2,200-hour year

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (required)
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience in accounting/finance roles (public accounting, banking, or industry)
  • Strong foundation in financial accounting and reporting; ability to translate financials into business insight
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Advanced ability to build and interpret financial models, analyses, and client-ready recommendations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills — comfortable partnering with business owners, executives, and internal stakeholders
  • High level of professionalism, sound judgment, and ability to operate with autonomy and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client expectations with calm confidence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and adaptable across various technology tools and systems
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to being a true team player — leading, mentoring, and elevating those around you
