The Springs at Lake Oswego is a vibrant, welcoming place where residents and staff feel at home. Our Maintenance Team is the backbone of keeping everything running smoothly, and we're looking for a skilled Maintenance Assistant Lead to join us!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Keep Our Building in Top Shape: Perform drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance in resident apartments, common areas, and community spaces, as well as experience and familiarity in apartment turnovers.
  • Support Specialized Systems: Assist with pool and spa chemistry, kitchen equipment maintenance, appliances, and housekeeping equipment repair (such as vacuums and extractors).
  • Ensure Safety & Reliability: Follow preventative maintenance practices, perform repairs safely, and demonstrate familiarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Care for the Campus: Help maintain walkways, driveways, and exterior areas to keep our community safe and inviting.
  • Assist Residents: Provide excellent customer service by helping with small tasks such as cable TV setup or lightbulb changes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Plant Operations Director, Maintenance, and Housekeeping teams to support daily operations.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in building or facility maintenance, property maintenance, or a related trade
  • Experience in vendor coordination and scheduling contractors
  • Experience with access controls, fire safety systems, plumbing, electrical systems preferred
  • Experience with high-end apartment turnover
  • Skills in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, or pool/spa maintenance
  • Experience supporting a healthcare or senior living setting is a plus, but not required
  • Attention to detail, excellent customer service, and a resident-focused mindset
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and walk the campus for extended periods
  • Can-do attitude; Willing and able to support the maintenance team with projects, deadlines, and troubleshooting
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Must have open availability, occasional on-call
